National Institute of Technology Goa has opened Ph.D. admissions for the January 2027 session under four schemes – Full-Time with scholarship, Part-Time, Self-Financed and Sponsored. The institute has published the whole schedule in its Information Brochure dated 09 October 2026, and the last date to submit the online application is 15 November 2026. The brochure says the website closes on that date without any further extensions.
Seven departments are admitting: Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Sciences and Humanities and Social Sciences. A candidate applying to more than one department has to fill a separate application form and pay a separate fee for each department.
The 125 seats in the reservation chart apply only to the Full-Time with scholarship scheme – the Part-Time, Self-Financed and Sponsored schemes are outside that chart. Full-Time scholars get an assistantship and HRA as per Government of India norms; the brochure does not print a monthly amount, so check the current MoE rate before you plan your budget.
