Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad – an institution of national importance created by an Act of Parliament, established by the Department of Biotechnology and operating under the auspices of UNESCO – has opened admissions to its Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Biotechnology (PGDIB) for the 2027 intake. The revised advertisement was published on 1 October 2026 and the last date to apply online is 13 November 2026.
The programme is a one-year, industry-oriented diploma of 40 credits: one semester of coursework physically at RCB, Faridabad, followed by a second semester of hands-on training and a six-month internship in industry or academia. It is designed to build the skills needed for manufacturing, testing, licensing, packaging and releasing biotech and biopharmaceutical products.
Only 30 seats are on offer and selection is through an interview, so the application is short and the competition is for a small intake. Everything below is taken from the institute’s own advertisement.
