Backward Classes Welfare Department Scholarship Eligibility
- In the first qualification the students should belong to backward class. It means that here the categories coming in OBC category i.e. 1, 2A, 3A and 3B must belong to any one category. It is the Central Government notified backward class students who are eligible to get this scholarship opportunity.
- The second eligibility criteria is the annual income of the student’s family i.e. if they belong to a nomadic or semi-nomadic family their annual income should be less than 2.30 lakhs.

- Looking at the other categories, category one should have an annual income of less than one lakh rupees. Similarly, for category 2A, 3A, 3B and Other Backward Classes, the annual income should be less than Rs 44,500.
How will the distribution of this scholarship be done?
- This Backward Classes Welfare Department Scholarship is sanctioned to all the students belonging to category one i.e. nomad or semi-nomad community here.
- Other categories of students are awarded scholarships on the basis of their family’s annual income and academic merit.
Here are the scholarship awards:
- First of all, about 2000 rupees will be given to the nomadic and nomadic students, i.e. from classes 1 to 10.
- Students of other categories are divided in this way. Namely, Rs 750 is given as scholarship for 10 months to the students from class I to V here.
- Similarly, students from class six to class eight are given around 900 rupees for 10 months.
- Similarly lastly, 9th and 10th class students are given about one thousand rupees as scholarship for 10 months.

- Secondly the Aadhaar card of the student’s parents
- Third is the certificate which informs about the admission of the student to the school.
- Thirdly, information about caste certificate and certificate.
- Fourth is the annual income certificate of the student’s family.
- If the student is in a hostel, a certificate giving information about his stay.
- The student has applied for this scholarship in the previous year. Its application no.
- Also the student’s parent’s mobile number, i.e. it should be linked with Aadhaar card.
- Finally the student’s bank account details, IFSC CODE number etc.
