IET India Scholarship Selection Process

The selection process of the IET India Scholarship 2024 consists of four different levels, which the students have to clear to be eligible for the awards.

• The weightage for evaluation is given as follows: 60% for academics, 20% for extra and co-curricular activities, 10% for outreach, and 10% for professional skills.

• The first level of the selection process is an online test, which will be conducted in MCQ format on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Science. Shortlisted candidates from this level will move on to the regional level assessment.

• At the regional level, candidates have to make a presentation on the topic given by the Jury members. The topic of the presentation will be conveyed to the contestants ten days before the contest. Regional assessments will take place across four regions: South, North, East + North East, and West.
• The winners of the regional assessments will advance to the national finals. The final round will require candidates to prepare a presentation on their vision and solution to an engineering problem relevant to society. The national finals may also include a group discussion on a topic given by the jury on the spot.

IET India Scholarship Rewards

The IET India Scholarship 2024 awards a combined scholarship prize worth INR 10,00,000 to engineering students across years (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year) and engineering specializations.

The scholarship amount for the regional round includes Rs 50,000 for the winner and Rs 25,000 for the runner-up, along with certificates. The winners of the national finals will receive Rs 120,000 and a certificate, the first runner-up will receive Rs 80,000 and a certificate, and the second runner-up will receive Rs 60,000 and a certificate.
