Under the Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Courses scholarship, eligible students who are studying in professional courses and residing in government or institute hostels can receive an annual allowance of INR 7,000 for courses between 4 to 5 years, INR 5,000 for courses between 2 to 3 years, and INR 500 for courses below 2 years. For students not residing in government or institute hostels, the annual allowance is higher, with INR 10,000 for courses between 4 to 5 years, INR 7,000 for courses between 2 to 3 years, and INR 5,000 for courses below 2 years. Under the Vocational Education Maintenance Allowance scholarship, the eligible ST students will receive maintenance allowance based on their course duration. For students who are hostellers or day scholars, the amount will be paid annually. For courses with a duration of 4-5 years, the maintenance allowance will be INR 7,000 for day scholars and INR 10,000 for hostellers.
