AcSIR has opened PhD admission for the January 2027 session across its member CSIR, ICMR and DST institutes. The last date to apply is 31 October 2026, and a valid national JRF or SRF is required.
The Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme Phase-II has two seats at NIT Calicut for 2026-27. The full-time fellowship is Rs 46,250 a month for the first two years and Rs 52,500 for years three to five.
NIT Calicut has opened PhD admission for the Winter Semester (December) 2026-27 under six schemes. The last date to apply is 27 October 2026, and full-time candidates can get the Institute Fellowship.
VIT has opened VITREE 2027 for the January session. The last date to apply is 20 November 2026, the entrance test is on 6 December 2026 and full-time scholars get a VIT Research Fellowship.
IISc Bengaluru has opened mid-year PhD admission for the session starting January 2027, including the External Registration Programme. A valid GATE or NET JRF score is needed. Last date is 26 October 2026.
IIT Bhubaneswar has opened admission to its MS by Research (MS.R.) programme for the Spring Session 2026-27, with an Institute Fellowship option. Last date to apply is 10 November 2026.
IIPE Visakhapatnam has opened PhD admission for the 2026-27 Spring Semester. The Institute Research Fellowship pays Rs 37,000 a month for the first two years. Last date to apply is 15 November 2026.
The University of Glasgow UPES Scholarship gives Indian students on the UofG-UPES articulation programme a 20% tuition fee waiver. Glasgow lists 60 scholarships and awards them automatically.
The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2026 pays up to Rs. 50,000 a year to EWS students in medicine, engineering, graduation, diploma and ITI courses. Last date 15 October 2026.
The University of Glasgow Global Leadership Scholarship for January 2027 gives a GBP 10,000 fee waiver to international master’s students in six engineering and education programmes. Apply by 14 December 2026.
