Vahani Scholarship empowers students from socio-economically weaker sections through education, mentorship and opportunities, fostering leadership and social mobility. It is more than financial support – it combines full financial aid with intensive leadership development and one-on-one mentorship.
The trust says it has reached 31 states and union territories and currently supports 185 Vahani Scholars, with a selection rate of about 1.67% and an average household income of Rs. 70,967 among its scholars.

Which colleges are covered by the Vahani Scholarship?
The scholarship covers all top Government Universities or Government-recognised Universities and Colleges. In very rare cases it also supports some exceptional private universities. The selected scholars are counselled during their admission process to identify the best course and college suitable for them, and every scholar must verify and get approval from the Vahani Scholarship Board before seeking admission in any university or college.
